The
name Rajpoot came into being after the "Rajpoots", a warrior
race of Rajastan in Northern India.
Rajpoots were the protectors of the Mughal Emperors.
Established
in 1980, the Rajpoot Restaurant is divided into three parts, "The
Old India", "India Cottage" and "Kamra", each with
it's own character, fully air conditioned and offering a seating capacity
for 90 diners.
Much
thought has been given in designing this restaurant to ensure the classic
theme of the food is enhanced by a suitably authentic atmosphere.
The results would have been endorsed by the Mughal Emperors and will, we
trust, by the visiting Naswabs, Rajahs and Maharajas of the Indian sub-continent.
In
addition to many prestigious National and International awards, high praise
by food critics and good food guides, the Rajpoot is the recipient of:
The Best in Britain Award
