The
Residence is a new concept in accommodation for Bath. It brings together
the exclusivity of a private club and the service of a modern hotel within
a large Georgian house near the city centre.
The house was built as Ormond Lodge in 1796 as part of a local estate.
It remained a private home until 1955 and was the residence of H.I.M.
Haile Selassie during his exile in Britain during the Thirties.
During the latter half of 2005 it was converted into a luxury Bed and
Breakfast consisting of five bedrooms and one suite. Probably the
best rooms in Bath. "We
are relaxed, informal, tasteful and above all fun and our aim is simple:
to be the best home from home you ever had"
